CJC-1295 questions

The searches that remain after the half-life number has been quoted.

Is CJC-1295 FDA approved?

CJC-1295 has no approval for human use anywhere. The 2024 Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee materials raised safety and immunogenicity concerns, and the committee did not recommend it for the 503A compounding bulks list. Compounding eligibility and drug approval are separate regulatory questions.

My unease with the RX shorthand begins here. The letters can suggest a settled medical status that this compound has never achieved.

Why was the CJC-1295 Phase 2 trial halted?

The HIV-associated visceral-obesity study was discontinued and the programme did not advance to approval. A patient death during the development era is frequently cited alongside the halt. The public record does not establish a causal link to CJC-1295. A definitive account of the cause would go beyond that record.

Does CJC-1295 affect testosterone?

The published human work concerns the growth-hormone and IGF-1 response. It has established no direct testosterone effect. Controlled human data have not shown that CJC-1295 raises or lowers testosterone.

“Hormone” is far too broad a category for me to accept a claim about testosterone on that basis. Different hormone systems still require their own measurements.

Is CJC-1295 a steroid?

CJC-1295 is a peptide GHRH analog. It acts at the GHRH receptor to stimulate growth-hormone release. The analog review describes that pharmacology. Anabolic-androgenic steroids act through a different receptor system.

Are peptides safer than TRT?

A direct safety comparison between CJC-1295 and testosterone replacement therapy is absent. CJC-1295 lacks approval and large human safety trials; testosterone treatment has established medical monitoring. The adult growth-hormone-deficiency review offers clinical context for a different hormone system, rather than a reason to substitute treatments.

Does CJC-1295 with ipamorelin work?

Different receptor pathways explain the interest in combining them. Controlled efficacy data for the specific pairing in healthy adults are lacking. CJC-1295 alone produced measurable hormone changes; those findings leave the mixture's health outcomes unresolved. The research page also examines a secretagogue study whose actual ingredients are often overlooked.

Can athletes use CJC-1295?

WADA Section S2 prohibits CJC-1295 at all times, including outside competition. NCAA rules also ban it. Analytical work has identified CJC-1295 in an unknown preparation. The sport restriction applies separately from the unresolved health questions.

What side effects are reported?

Community reports describe swelling, tingling, local irritation and other symptoms. They are anecdotal accounts, not clinical evidence. The growth-hormone sodium-retention study provides relevant biological context, while reliable CJC-1295 harm rates remain unavailable. The effects page gives blood sugar, immune responses and IGF-1 concerns their own space.
